Kristy Myers, San Diego County, CA

Kristy has more than 15 years experience in supply chain and operations management. She received her B.A. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley and received her MBA degree from CSUH. She has been in the b iotech industry and owns a successful small business in consulting. She has passion for serving in her community -- for e.g. at church, for her children's schools and Little League. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, she takes pleasure in cycling and sports of any kind. Kristy is excited about The Treasure Box because it gives her a chance to be missional in her own community. She looks forward to partnering with churches and community outreach groups throughout the San Diego area.

Terri Van Workum, Orange County, CA

Terri earned her B.S. degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She combines her 22 years of food sales and marketing experience with four years of Christian ministry work. Terri's compassionate heart allows her to understand the plight of many families today which makes her a vital member of The Treasure Box team. She networks with local churches and organizations to help them respond to the needs of their members as well as the surrounding communities.

Carlos earned his BA in Marketing from the University of South Florida in Tampa Florida and is proud Alum for his Bulls. Before joining The Treasure Box, he spent 7 years in the Retail Grocery Industry in all levels of store management.  He relocated with his wife Sonia to San Diego to work for a direct marketing and sales company and recently joined The Treasure Box team as a Marketing and Customer Service Specialist. He is excited about making a difference in his community.  His position with The Treasure Box affords him this opportunity as he works with Treasure Box partner organizations that are passionate about serving their communities.  In his free time, Carlos enjoys sports, music, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife.

Teresa Novy, Antelope Valley/High Desert, CA

Teresa served as a missionary for 18 years, traveling to Native American Reservations throughout the Western United States and to Mexico. Teresa has been serving in youth ministry since she was a teenager, working in prison ministry at youth detention centers and state penitentiaries. Teresa also worked as an instructional aide for special education programs and as a speech aide in local public schools. Teresa uses the skill s she honed from nearly 10 years of working with a food ministry in the Antelope Valley to serve her community and is a valuable member of the Treasure Box Team. Her motto is, "Just trying to live a simply profound life."

Carrie Rounds, San Bernardino County & Riverside County(From San Dimas south to Riverside and Corona) CA

Carrie has more than 22 years in the food brokerage and dairy manufacturing business, selling perishable and Knudsen dairy products to major Southern California grocery chains. Her skills include Sales, Marketing, Merchandising and Merchandising Management. In her spare time, Carrie devotes herself to her family and to her church where she serves in leadership roles for several ministries. Carrie cares about the special, individual needs of each customer. She says her customers can always expect a quick response no matter what issues arise. Along with her caring and cooperative outlook, Carrie brings a cheerful, compassionate and professional attitude to The Treasure Box team.

Chris Balian, San Fernando Valley/ L.A., CA

Chris earned his B.A. in Organizational Studies - Sociology with a minor in Managerial Economics at the University of California, Davis.  He has worked in media advertising and in sales. His true passion is giving back to the community and helping those in need. In July, he served on a mission trip on the Amazon where he was part of a team that delivered medical supplies, helped with flood relief and performed missionary work with various villages along the river.  In his spare time, Chris enjoys hiking, cycling, running, rowing, wine tasting and cooking.  Adventure is his calling!  He loves his work with the Treasure Box because it nurtures his heart of service.

David Leonard - Long Beach & Los Angeles, CA

David earned his B.A. degree from California State University, Long Beach in Communication Studies and has five years experience working in the non-profit sector. He has worked with companies such as The Lawndale Unified School District, The YMCA of Greater Long Beach and The Southern California Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters. David has developed and managed award winning Community After-School Programs and has worked extensively with Iraq-Afghanistan war veterans programs. David values serving others and meeting needs, respects diversity and enjoys building and cultivating relationships with those he meets and works with as a Community Outreach Representative for The Treasure Box.

Koni Gould - Phoenix, AZ

Koni has more than 25 years of leadership experience volunteering with churches and youth groups. She received her B.A. degree in English from California State University, Fullerton. As a home-school mother of three, she understands the value of stretching a dollar and juggling a tight budget. In this, she finds The Treasure Box to be an important outreach tool and aid to families during this tough economic downturn. She looks forward to partnering with churches and community groups throughout the Phoenix Valley.

Patrick just finished his B.A. degree in International Business at San Diego State University. He has been involved with church and community ministries for the past 10 years. From 2006-2007, he served as the student Vice President for Campus Crusade for Christ at San Diego State University. After living in China for a year, he now speaks proficient Mandarin Chinese. Patrick is full of passion and energy which he devotes to working with organizations in San Diego to partner with the Treasure Box and to serve his community.  His heart is for outreaching to people worldwide and desires to pursue future endeavors in that direction.

Jessica has over 20 years of management and sales experience in the manufacturing industry, from custom cylindrical rotary components that revolutionized the laser printer  industry to water purification, energy systems and all nature products that assist families in becoming more green.  Married for 20 years with 2 beautiful daughters, Jessica has spent much of her free time over the past 15 years doing philanthropic work in her community.  While working with the community, church & schools, she has raised funds for children in need of school supplies, computers and safer play equipment.  Jessica’s passion is reflected in the exuberance she puts forth in connecting and helping those in her community.
